A room that floats through time.This piece is made by breaking a modern-made vessel and re-sewing it using the traditional kintsugi technique.A ceramic board painting composed of color and detail.

Look at it from a distance, then get close and touch it,I would like you to spend time with the work and update its history.Is this the present or the future?We want you to spend your time feeling the time.

Artist: SHOWKO

Born in Kyoto. Born in a Kyoto tea pottery kiln that has been in business for 330 years. After training in Saga, in 2005 he began producing ceramic board paintings using a unique technique at his own studio, SpringShow Studio. Afterwards, he became involved in 2D composition and design as a designer, exploring the possibilities of products based on his experience in other industries. Incorporated in October 2009 and launched the brand "SIONE" in the same year. Through the production of ceramic board paintings, product design, branding, tea ceremonies, etc. under the name SHOWKO Kawahara, we are creating a culture of hospitality in line with modern times.

Born/based in Kyoto.SHOWKO grew up in a pottery studio with a rich 330-year history. After honing her craft in Saga prefecture, SHOWKO launched SpringShow Studio in 2005, producing ceramic art through her unique techniques, later launching designer ceramic brand Sione in 2009. Through unique product design, branding and tea ceremonies, SHOWKO creates a modern-day culture of hospitality.
